Denny Goenawan is the Managing Partner of Indies. He brings over 30 years of experience in special situations, asset management, and investment banking, having held senior roles at Citigroup, Salomon Smith Barney, and Credit Suisse. Before founding Indies in 2009, he was Managing Director and Head of Southeast Asia at Citigroup’s Special Situations Group. Denny holds a BA in Finance and International Business from the University of Washington.

Pram Kurniawan is a Partner in the private credit team. He brings over 30 years of banking experience across major Asian markets, having held senior roles at Maybank Kim Eng, Credit Suisse, UBS,and Barclays. Prior to joining Indies in 2017, he was Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking at Maybank Kim Eng Indonesia. Pram holds an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Trisakti University.

Harold Ong is a Partner in the private equity team. He joined Indies in 2018 after 14 years with The Carlyle Group, where he was a Director in the private equity team, managing investments across Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia. Harold began his career as an investment banking analyst at Credit Suisse. He holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Commerce (Finance) and Law (Hons) from the University of Melbourne.

Jonathan Chang is a Senior Advisor at Indies. A seasoned financial industry veteran, he previously held leadership roles including Country Chairman of Jardine Matheson in Indonesia and Commissioner of Astra International. Jonathan also served as Indonesia Country Head for UBS, JP Morgan, and Jardine Fleming. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from Monash University.

Prior to joining Indies in 2015, he was a private equity investment analyst at Headland Capital, managing deal execution and portfolio management for buyout and minority investments in Southeast Asia. Earlier, Dhanny worked as an investment banking analyst at Citigroup, focusing on M&A, debt, and equity financing. He holds a Bachelor of Business Management (Finance and Accounting) from Singapore Management University.

Hanli Mangun is a Partner in the private credit team. Prior to joining Indies in 2025, he spent over a decade at Värde Partners, leading private credit investments across Asia (excluding India). He has also held positions at King Street, Ripplewood, and Goldman Sachs. Hanli holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Before joining Indies in 2022, he was the Head of Investment at GoTo Group, leading over 20 investments and serving on Tokopedia’s investment board. Randall holds a BSc from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from UCLA Anderson.

Vivien Foo is a Senior Vice President in the private equity team. She joined Indies in 2019 after progressing from Graduate Trainee to Assistant Vice President at Khazanah Nasional Berhad. Prior to that, she was an Associate in Operations and Finance at PwC Malaysia. Vivien holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from the University of Malaya and has passed CFA Level 1.

Yessica holds a Bachelor of Business and Commerce (Accounting and International Business) from Monash University (Malaysia Campus).
